I am so excited and proud to have these absolutely stunning cars in my shop – they just look timeless and are so nostalgic. Who doesn’t smile when they see one of these? I only wish I had one as a child for if I did, I know it would have been a toy that I would have truly treasured for life.

Baghera is a French company founded in 1999 by Emmanuel Nouveau, who had a dream as a little boy to be a racing driver. However, he didn’t manage to compete on track but he did the next best thing – allowed other children to live out their racing-driver fantasies on the beautiful ride-on cars he designs. A family-run firm, Baghera designs various carriers, small metal cars and wooden toys to the delight of toddlers – making them high-quality items that will last for generations.

Just like cars from a bygone era, this one has a streamlined front and large wheels, and is absolutely gorgeous. In the tradition of renowned racers, this Baghera Racing Car was styled in France by their team of designers, who are crazy about all things automotive! If you already have children you'll know this, and if you don't, then here's a tip - a child's racing car will have a hard life. It will be exposed to the most extreme driving conditions, it will be involved in many high-speed collisions, there'll be pile-ups and the poor thing will will get plenty of 'air time' too. Fortunately, this beautiful car is not only extremely stylish, but very robust too. It's made of a very strong ABS plastic and then lacquered and polished by hand - so just perfect for the hard life ahead of it. A collectible toy for the grown-ups! The alternative life for this little racing car could see it sat proudly on display as a decorative object with its older owner. My husband has one himself on a shelf in his study (he's a huge car fan) and it looks just as at home with a grown-up as it does with a younger owner - so this would make a great birthday or Father's Day gift.
